End Card is the television production company within the Thomas Hopkins Productions family. While THP continues to lead in theatre and live performance, End Card is dedicated exclusively to screen, developing and producing original television projects as well as adaptations of THP’s existing IP. Out of that IP, development of stage content with a more cinematic design will be important along with a focus on new works collaboration and innovation, End Card works with broadcasters, streamers, and creative partners to ensure THP’s stories reach audiences worldwide through bold, compelling television.

PAUL MCKENZIEHEAD OF TELEVISION

Former Head of TV at Sharp House (Films), Head of Development at Disney, and Development Producer at the BBC, Paul began his career as a writer on Channel 4’s iconic barbershop comedy Desmond’s with the writers lens always his starting point. Over the past two decades, he has produced, developed, and commissioned an extensive slate of acclaimed, long-running series for major broadcasters including BBC, ITV, Sky, and Disney.
His credits include BBC2’s Boy Meets Girl , the UK’s first prime-time, award-winning family comedy-drama centred on a transgender actor in the lead role, which broke new ground for authentic representation on British television through to Hetty Feather, Jacqueline Wilson’s long-running, multi-BAFTA-nominated YA period drama, a cornerstone of CBBC’s output that ran for five series.
A passionate advocate for diverse, emerging, and underrepresented voices, Paul champions stories rooted in lived experience and fresh perspectives, believing that untapped, personal narratives are the universal flipside of “local is global.”

GIO MESSALELIVE CAPTURE CONSULTANT

End Card has welcomed Gio Messale as Live Capture Consultant. With over 20 years in media and theatre arts, Messale is best known as a founding executive and former Head of Content at BroadwayHD, where he curated more than 1,000 hours of theatre-arts content and produced over 30 professional filmed captures of Broadway, Off-Broadway, and West End shows.

His credits include the first-ever live stream of a Broadway musical (She Loves Me), Mr. Saturday Night starring Billy Crystal, Kinky Boots, and Present Laughter starring Kevin Kline. Most recently, Messale worked with PBS Great Performances on Yellow Face starring Daniel Dae Kim and Purlie Victorious starring Leslie Odom Jr. He also consulted on Audra McDonald: Live at The London Palladium and the West End musical Bonnie and Clyde with Jeremy Jordan.

This past season, Messale worked with Warner Music to executive manage the Original Broadway Cast Recording of the 2025 Tony Award®-winning musical Maybe Happy Ending starring Darren Criss, and the Original London Cast Recording of Next to Normal. Earlier in his career, he worked at Paramount Pictures on films including Star Trek, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Shutter Island.

His appointment signals End Card’s commitment to embedding world-class live capture expertise into its screen strategy.

With these appointments, End Card positions itself as a new home for creative talent and a driver of original, event-scale television and live capture storytelling with international impact.
