Thomas Hopkins Productions (THP) was founded in 2019 by award-winning theatre, film, television, and radio producer Thomas Hopkins. Since its inception, THP has worked on over 150 live theatrical productions and numerous productions created and filmed specifically for platforms such as Sky, BBC, Amazon Prime, BroadwayHD, Broadway On Demand, and the educational platform Digital Theatre Plus.

THP is recognised as an industry leader, specialising in transatlantic partnerships and supporting productions through its full-service organisation.

THP’s recent productions include This Bitter Earth, directed by Grammy Award, Emmy, and three-time Tony Award-winning Billy Porter, at the Soho Theatre in London’s West End, and Becoming Eve at New York Theatre Workshop at Abrons Arts Center. THP was the lead producer and general manager on the critically acclaimed production of Simon Stephens’ A Song From Far Away, starring Will Young, at HOME in Manchester, Hampstead Theatre in London, and BBC Radio 4. Another notable project was Martin Sherman’s ROSE, starring Dame Maureen Lipman, which had a sell-out season at The Ambassadors Theatre in London’s West End.

THP is passionate about creating new theatrical experiences and productions. Amongst THP’s current slate of development, some of the highlights include a new version of Boy George’s autobiography musical Taboo, with plans to open in New York in 2027. THP is also developing  a new family musical by Olivier Award-winning composer Vikki Stone, based on the iconic BAFTA-winning BBC TV show Maid Marian and Her Merry Men by Sir Tony Robinson and a new musical ‘The Necklace’ by internationally renowned composer Connor Mitchell to open in Belfast in 2026.

Thomas Hopkins

Founder

Thomas Hopkins, born in Eastbourne, East Sussex, is an accomplished theatre, film, television, and radio producer & General Manager. He began his artistic journey at an early age, culminating in a full scholarship to the Urdang Academy in Covent Garden to pursue a BA in Musical Theatre.

In 2009, Thomas transitioned from performing to production, managing his first West End musical at the Comedy Theatre (now the Harold Pinter Theatre) and his inaugural West End play ‘Kurt & Sid’ starring Danny Dyer and Shaun Evans at Trafalgar Studios. Over the past twenty years, he has garnered extensive experience across various scales and levels of the theatre industry, driven by the guiding principle that “The Future Is Ours To Create.”

In 2019, Thomas founded Thomas Hopkins Productions, a premier production company recognised for its commitment to excellence in live theatre and digital media. Since its inception, the company has successfully produced a diverse portfolio of over 150 live theatrical productions, as well as numerous projects tailored for platforms including Sky, BBC, Amazon Prime, BroadwayHD, Broadway On Demand, and the educational platform Digital Theatre Plus.

Thomas’s extensive experience as a General Manager and Executive Producer includes projects such as Rose (Ambassador’s Theatre/Sky), Song From Far Away (Hampstead Theatre), Stalled – A New Musical (The Kings Head), and Lady Chatterley’s Lover: A New Musical (Shaftesbury Theatre/BroadwayHD).

Thomas is a distinguished member of both The League of Independent Producers and The Society of London Theatre, as well as a voting member of the Olivier Awards. Furthermore, Thomas proudly supports the charity Just Add Milk, as a board member. JAM is committed to enhancing accessibility within the industry through workshops, new plays, educational programs, and the Luke Westlake scholarship.

Giles Rowland

General Manager

Giles is an experienced General Manager working across the West End, UK touring and international markets. Giles worked recently with Jamie Wilson Productions on Mrs Doubtfire the Musical, Calamity Jane, White Christmas and Tell Me on a Sunday. With MarkGoucher Productions Giles was General Manager for The Great British Bake Off Musical,Hairspray, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Murder on the Orient Express, Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense, The King’s Speech, Yes Prime Minister and many other plays, musicals and dance productions in London and on tour. Giles has also produced many musicals for the international market including West Side Story, Mamma Mia, Cats, Grease and Fame.

Dana Heres Diddens

Operations Manager

Dana is a creative, positive, and ambitious professional with extensive experience in operational management within the creative industries, including roles at the National Theatre and the Royal Opera House. With a Master’s degree in Arts Administration & Cultural Policy from Goldsmiths University of London, along with a double International Business degree and Prince2 Project Management certifications, Dana combines strategic vision with practical expertise.

Originally from Amsterdam, Dana brings a direct, results-oriented approach to setting up and refining operational systems and is passionate about collaborating with like-minded professionals to achieve shared goals.

Will Fieldhouse

Production Assistant

Will graduated with distinction from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, with a master’s degree in Creative Producing, in addition to a BA in Philosophy from the University of Southampton. His interests have always leaned towards creative practice, and he has nurtured a lifelong passion for live theatre and performance. Outside of his work with THP, most notably he was part of the small team that presented BEAM in 2023, a two-day showcase of new musical theatre writing.

As a production assistant, Will utilises his skills and experience across various disciplines, from administrative and organisational work, to graphic design and event management. Through his time at university he was involved in both theatre and film, constantly committed to taking on new roles and responsibilities from one project to another.

Tessa is a marketing and media professional with over 15 years’ experience working within the arts and cultural sector. A visual arts obsessive, she has worked both client and agency side for the UK’s leading arts organisations and brands including the Tate, Barbican, Royal Collection Trust, Royal Academy of Arts and the Royal Horticultural Society.

Make a Noise is an innovative and agile full-service marketing agency specialising in the arts, cultural and heritage sectors. Members of the company have a collective 50 years’ experience working both with and within some of the leading cultural organisations across the UK including Southbank Centre, Tate, Royal Collection Trust, Sadler’s Wells, Wise Children, Barbican Centre, Royal Academy of Arts, Art Fund and Opera North as well as leading productions including Jean Paul Gautier Fashion Freakshow, The Mongol Khan, The Art Of Banksy, Dirty Dancing, Rose, Song From far Away and the Estonian National Ballet among many more.
