Celebrating 100 performances at the Harold Pinter Celebrating 100 performances at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Moments like this are a reminder that theatre is the ultimate collaborative art form. Every performance is the result of extraordinary people coming together with one shared purpose: telling a story that connects with an audience.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this production, both onstage and behind the scenes. It’s been a privilege to share this journey with you.
101 performances. What a journey. On 25 Septembe 101 performances.

What a journey.

On 25 September 2025 this was just a table read.

On 26 May 2026 we opened our UK tour at Theatre Royal Brighton.

A few weeks later we opened in the West End.

Today, on 8 August, we’ve reached 101 performances.

From the very beginning it was so important to Maureen, Peter, Stephen & I that this beautiful play didn’t just belong to London. We wanted its message to reach every corner of the UK because everyone deserves the chance to experience great theatre. At a time when so many people simply don’t have the opportunity to travel to the West End, it felt important that we took the show to them.

It also meant audiences across the country had the chance to see one of our greatest British actresses perform on their own doorstep. That was something we all cared deeply about.

It might not have been everybody’s cup of tea, and that’s OK. Theatre should make people feel something. More than 44,000 people, across the UK and in the West End, came to share this story with us. They laughed, they cried and they reminded us why live theatre matters.

Thank you to our remarkable company, our creatives, our crew, our investors, our venue partners and every single person who bought a ticket and believed in what we were trying to achieve.

I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved together.

Here’s to our German productions, and to giving this beautiful play another life across the UK in 2027.

If this play has taught us anything, it’s that we could all be a little more like Allegra. ❤️
