ARTEMIS FOWL THE MUSICAL

Based on Colfer’s beloved novel, the musical follows the story of Artemis Fowl, a 12-year-old millionaire and criminal mastermind who ventures into the world of fairies to exploit them for their gold. The series, which has sold over 25 million copies and been translated into more than 40 languages, is a hallmark of modern children’s literature, blending fantasy, adventure, and humour.

The stage adaptation features a book by Colfer, with music composed by Liam Bates and lyrics by Colfer and Bates. The show is directed by Scott Graham of Frantic Assembly, known for his work on The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Othello. The workshop’s casting is managed by Pearson Casting CDG, with general management provided by Julian Stoneman and Jack Maple for MPSI Ltd.

The Artemis Fowl series has won numerous accolades, including the Irish Book of the Year and a Nibbie for UK Book of the Year. It was also named the UK’s favourite Puffin Modern Classic. The books were adapted into a 2020 Disney+ film directed by Kenneth Branagh, starring Ferdia Shaw, Lara McDonnell, Josh Gad, and Dame Judi Dench.

The production is being developed by producers Breda Cashe, Eoin Colfer, and Julian Stoneman by special arrangement with Disney Theatrical.
